Barefoot Coffee Rosters Restaurant Review

Barefoot Coffee Rosters Restaurant Review

Hi everyone, today I am doing a restaurant review of one of my favorite coffee shops Barefoot Coffee Roasters in Solana Beach. I love Barefoot because they have some good non coffee drinks which I love  and also some really good food.  I had started writing this in 2020 when I came down for winter break to visit family. I found the draft of that article a few weeks ago and decided to go back a few more times this winter break in 2021 to try a bit more of their huge menu before posting.

Watermelon and Cucumber Kombucha

This was my first time trying kombucha.  I chose the Watermelon and Cucumber Kombucha because I love anything watermelon flavored. I could  not taste the cucumber in it was a bit carbonated but not too overpowering. It also becomes less carbonated if you let it sit for a while before dinking it. I would be curious to try some of the other kombuchas that are on the menu.

Hot Chai Tea Latte

If you know me personally or have read some of my past articles you may know that I am not the biggest fan of coffee. If I need caffeine, I will normally get an Iced Chai Tea latte. I was planning to get an Iced Chi Tea Latte which I have tried before from here and liked. However, the day I went It was super cold. I decided to switch things up and try a Hot Chai instead. It was way too strong with all the spices. It burned in the back of my throat. When I got home, I added some ice and loved it. It tasted like the iced one I love.  If you are ordering this drink, definitely get it iced.

Peppermint Chocolate Donut

Every season there is a seasonal donut. I have always been a huge fan of seasonal treats especially for winter, so I decided to try this one. Since it was winter, they had a Peppermint Chocolate Donut. It was a dense cake with chocolate icing and crushed candy cane on top. I liked it a lot. The donut was denser than others I have tried. It was more like a cake than a donut. I did not mind it though. The icing was amazing. I liked how hard  it was. Also, the peppermint on the top was not overpowering like it sometimes is.

Caprese Salad

This was the first food I tried at this place.  It has basil, lettuce, tomato ,mozzarella, and balsamic vinaigrette. I liked it a lot. It has a lot of flavors. The balsamic added a whole new However it was really small. It was not a full meal. I wish it was a bit bigger and more filling.

Crack Tacos

These tacos were so good. It has cheese, Cardiff crack, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes, and mashed avocado. Cardiff crack is a specific type of marinade for beef made only at Cardiff Seaside Market. I loved the avocado in it. It made the taco creamy. However, like most tacos, stuff started falling out of the sides quickly. It was not as messy as some other tacos I have had. The meet was really good. It tasted more like gyro meet then steak, but I was ok with that because I like both. This was my favorite thing I ordered during this experiment.

Avocado Toast

This was also one of my favorites. The avocado toast had olive oil, microgreens, and tomatoes. The avocado was supper flavorful. It tasted like they added salt to add another layer of flavor to the avocado. I also liked the pumpkin seeds and tomato on it. I do not think that the microgreens were necessary. It was a kind of weird texture.

In conclusion, Barefoot Coffee Roasters is an amazing place with a lot of variety.  If you are ever in Solana Beach you should stop by.
