Cheddar Cheese Apple Fondue in a Microwave

Cheddar Cheese Apple Fondue in a Microwave

Hi everyone this is my last recipe for my summer cooking class, before I move back to college. Hopefully the college will stay open in this crazy post-COVID-19 world.

I created and tested this recipe myself for my “Cooking With Jessica” adaptive cooking class that I broadcast on Zoom.  Originally I did this recipe with my broadcast show in August 2020.Cheese Fondue

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • cubed bread ( optional for dipping)
  • baby carrots (optional for dipping)
  • Apple slices (optional for dipping)

Equipment:

  • Microwave
  • Bowl
  • Spoon

Instructions:

  1. Put the apple juice in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave the apple juice for one minute.
  3. Add cheese, flour, and garlic powder to the bowl that already has the apple juice in it.
  4. Microwave that for for one minute.
  5. Dip bread cubes, apple slices, and baby carrots
