Welcome to article three of my Exploring Vegas series! Today I am writing about my experience exploring Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort and Casino. I went with my friend.
Planet Hollywood is a major resort in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, and is considered one of the mid-to lower priced options for a Las Vegas stay. It is right next to the Paris hotel, and close to the Linq, and Harrah’s.

Planet Hollywood DÉCOR
Planet Hollywood is supposed to have a Hollywood theme. There were a lot of sparkles which reminded me of the glamor of Hollywood. However, I think they could have done more with the theme and really played up the Los Angeles – Hollywood vibe. How about adding in a whimsical Hollywood walk of fame, like with actor and actress stars in the walkways around the facility?
Dinner at Café Hollywood
For dinner we decided to try out Café Hollywood. Café Hollywood is an old-Hollywood themed restaurant. It has a lot of old fashioned Hollywood photos on the wall. I was happy with this Hollywood theme of the restaurant, after all this is Planet Hollywood! Here are some of the things we ordered:
Six Cheese Chicken Mac And Cheese
I ordered the Six Cheese Chicken Mac and Cheese. I really liked it. It was very cheesy. I also liked the chicken pieces in the macaroni. It was well prepared and added a protein nutrition to the dish. It had an interesting touch with a cool dollop of ricotta cheese on top. It contrasted nicely with the heat of the underlying macaroni, and as I ate the dish, it warmed up a bit, making this an ever changing dish!
Crazy Milkshakes
Both of us ordered different flavors of their famous crazy milkshakes. Crazy milkshakes are basically milkshakes with candy or other deserts on top and a frosting rim. Here’s what we got:
Strawberry Big Bang Supper Nova
I got the Strawberry Big Bang Supper Nova. It was a strawberry based milkshake, and on top were sprinkles, a lollipop, and a slice of cake. I liked it a lot. The ice cream was super flavorful and the cake was super moist. My only complaint is that I did not like the frosting that much.
Cotton Candy Supper Nova
My friend got the Cosmic Cotton Candy Supper Nova. It was topped with rainbow sprinkles, white chocolate covered pretzels & on top of all that, cotton candy, and a lollipop. She really liked hers too. She really liked the cotton candy on top.
Overall, I liked this restaurant. If you are in Las Vegas I would recommend trying out it.
Tipsy Robot Bar
We went to get drinks at the Tipsy Robot bar. As the name implies, Tipsy Robot is a bar where the bartenders are robots, and you could even say that they seem tipsy themselves! You can enter your orders on a touch screen at your table and there are options to make your own custom drink, or order from the usual drink list. I tried out the custom drink option, and tried to make it complicated – Peach Schnapps, Pineapple Juice, Lemonade, and Sweet and Sour.
It was fun to order on the touch screen, and it was easy once you figured it out. Well, the technology failed a little, and my drink came out almost empty! That could explain why the robot was tipsy. Anyway, the real human bartenders were accommodating and filled it up. Good job humans!
All in all we enjoyed our study break excursion to the Planet Hollywood on the Vegas Strip.
