Happy Camper- Las Vegas Restaurant Week

Happy Camper- Las Vegas Restaurant Week

I recently went to Happy Camper at the Fashion Show Mall for Las Vegas Restaurant Week. I had been wanting to do this for over a year now.  It was such an amazing experience.

What is Restaurant Week?

Restaurant Week is a three-week event where restaurants do three- course dinners at a set price. A portion of the price goes back to Three Square. Three Square is the charity that runs this. You can find information about them here. It runs June 3rd- 18th but a lot of restaurants are extending to the 21st. You can find out more information about resteraunt week  here.

Menu Release Day

Restaurants and their menus got released 2 weeks before it started. I knew I was hoping that Happy Camper would participate because it is a brand-new restaurant. I had also heard a lot of good things about it. I looked online the morning of the menu release, and it was there. I was so happy.

Overview of Restaurant

Happy Camper is a pizza restaurant in the Fashion Show Mall. It is a camp theme with disco balls. They are known for over-the-top pizzas.

Ambiance

All the seating is outdoors. They do have fans, but they did not make much of a difference. It was still hot. You also have a view of the strip. They were also playing country music which I liked. It was a bit loud though.

Menu

It was a three-course dinner. There was salad, pizza, and ice cream. The price was $30.

Course 1- Salad

Caesar Salad

I got the Caesar Salad. The salad was one of my favorite parts. The croutons were super crunchy. Also, there is a good ratio of ingredients.

Kale Cashew Salad

My friend Lily for the Kale Cashew Salad which had kale, cabbage, wontons, zesty ginger cashew vinaigrette. My friend Lily loved her salad so much. She was talking about it for many days after. She also wanted to recreate it. I tried some of hers also and I liked it as well. I thought the salad dressing was super flavorful.

Course 2- Pizza

Cheese Pizza

Lilly got a cheese pizza. She liked it a lot, but I thought it was a bit plain.

Street Corn Pizza

I tried one of the unique pizzas. It had roasted corn, cotija cheese, cilantro, avocado crema, cream cheese, and a mini tajin bottle. I liked it a lot. I have never had corn on a pizza. Lilly thought it was too spicy because of the tajin. I like spicy food though.

Dessert- Ice Cream

The dessert was an ice cream sundae with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and sprinkles. It was another one of my favorite parts. I liked how cold the chocolate syrup got.

Service

The one downside was that the service was super slow. It took us like 30 minutes to get the check. It also took us a while to get water.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I had an amazing time at Happy Camper. Besides the slow service I had an amazing time.
