As the name sounds, I scream Week at Hersheypark combines Halloween (scream!) and ice cream. This week-long celebration has Halloween fun in the middle of the Summer, with some fun cuisine, night lighting and of course rides. Most of all it is a preview of the Halloween event in Hershey. I went a few days during the week with my friends Aiden, Clare ,and Lydia to try all the food.
First of all, there’s the black ice cream. More on that below. And, there’s a preview of the Dark Nights event at Hersheypark that runs from September to October, with a Halloween theme, of course.
Follow me as we go all around the park trying all the food!
Dark Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream- Milton’s
At the front of the park in chocolate town I tried Dark Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream at Milton’s. Milton’s is a ice cream parlor that specializes in flavored cones. The ice cream tasted like chocolate covered cherry. It was a black color. It turns your tongue black too which is fun. The cone was also black and red.
Terror Tots- Dispatch Pizza
The next thing I got were the Terror Tots from Dispatch Pizza in the Hallow. Dispatch Pizza is a pizza place that specializes in flatbread pizzas. The terror tots were basically pizza on tater tots instead of bread. You could get it with or without pepperoni. It was very cheesy.
Roadkill Fries- Tower Fries
The next thing I got were the Roadkill Fries from Tower Fries. Tower Fries is a french fry place on Kissing Tower Hill known for loaded french fries. I had tried this place before and it is one of my favorite places in the park to get food. The featured dish for the week was Roadkill Fries were French Fries with gravy, brisket, and cheese. There was a lot of flavor in every bite. It reminded me a lot of the poutine fries I got the last time I came here.
Flaming Hot Corn Dog Nuggets – Berks
Berks is a hot dog place in Pioneer Frontier. It has hot dogs that are themed after the roller coasters. I got the Flaming Hot Corn Dog Nuggets. That had hot cheetos and a hot honey sauce. If you like spicy food then this would be perfect for you.
Pumpkin Punch- Revenge Beverage
Revenge Beverages is a cocktails place next to the new Wildcat Revenge ride. For I scream week they had a Pumpkin Punch. It tasted like apple cider. It reminds me of fall.
Conclusion
Overall, you can have a lot of fun trying out all the Halloween specialties for Dark Nights. For the I Scream event, Hershey Park gives a fun Summer preview to get yourself into the Fall spirit early. If you are around Hershey Halloween time I would highly recommend trying some of their Halloween treats.
