So, if you ever wanted to do a girls-night-out, or a girls weekend, here’s your easy to follow how-to guide for some fun times with your besties, or just someone you can tolerate! Seriously now, I decided to do a girls-night-out weekend with one of my good friends, and here’s what we did.
Girls Weekend Guide: Step One – Pick Some of Your All Time Favorites
The first step for a great girls weekend is think about what you guys really like to do together. What’s relaxing, energizing and fun!
For us, we decided to go out for some fun meals, karaoke and the Las Vegas Strip.
Here’s our Step 1 report:
We decided to make this a full weekend, rather than just a girls-night-out. So that meant a sleepover and at least some food!
Here’s what we decided on:
- Back to the 80s Cafe, for one dinner.
- Pizza for Sunday brunch.
- And the Las Vegas Strip’s Mon Ami Gabi for another dinner.
- Paris Resort and Casino for some fun.
Girls Weekend Guide: Step Two – Just Do It!
Well, Step 2 is the fun part, unless you’re a big-time planner like I am. I love them both – the planning of Step 1 and the Doing of Step 2. Take a look at my step 2 report, and then give it a go yourself!
Girls Weekend Guide: Our Step 2 Report
Saturday Night: Back to the 80s Cafe
We picked this place because it has not only some fun food, but KARAOKE! I love karaoke.
Back to the 80s Cafe is a super fun 80s themed cafe. As my regular readers know, I live near a college campus and this place is in a college strip nearby. First of all, they have the best pina colada smoothies ever. They also had a Korean menu for late night. Also there was 80s themed karaoke at night. We jammed out to 80s music.
Sunday Brunch: Cugino’s Italian Deli and Pizzeria
For Sunday brunch we went to an Italian place I have been wanting to try for a while. My friend had tried it before and really liked it so she was excited to try it again. It wasn’t really a formal brunch, but really pizza is good for any meal. We both got cheese pizza and cannoli. It was so good. Some of the best pizza I have ever had. I will definitely be going back to try more food.
Sunday Dinner: Las Vegas Strip / Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Hotel
For dinner we decided to head over to the Strip. It’s always overpriced there no matter what you do, but we decided on a special occasion and decided to try out Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris las Vegas Resort and Casino. This French cuisine restaurant overlooks Las Vegas Blvd. Strip. We tried a bunch of things. Our favorite thing was the baked brie. So, overall I’d say Mon Ami Gabi is kind of touristy, in a great location, a bit expensive, but overall a decent fun place to try out. If you want to treat yourself, it is a good place.
After Dinner: Arc Bar at Paris
After dinner we decided to have some fun and see what there was inside the Paris Resort. We found Arc Bar, and shared a cocktail. You got your choice of a souvenir glass: either an Eifel Tower glass or a Balloon glass. We chose a balloon filled with half pina colada and half blue lagoon. This was a decent daiquiri and worth a try if you’re looking to imbibe in Paris!
