Recipe – Microwave Chocolate Chip Cake In A Mug

Recipe – Microwave Chocolate Chip Cake In A Mug

You may start noticing a theme here … my love of creating and teaching fun, tasty, microwave mug recipes!  This one makes a wonderful individual sized portion of a chocolate chip cake, in a mug.  Originally I found recipes for cookies in a  mug, but they did not turn out well in a microwave – mug format.  So, I developed this delicious Mug Chocolate Chip cake recipe  for my “Cooking With Jessica” adaptive cooking class that I originally did on June 18, 2020.  That class had our largest attendance yet, with over 20 attendees, including one from across the country!

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/8 tbsp vanilla

Equipment:

  • Mixing Bowl (1 quart or bigger)
  • Fork
  • Spoon
  • Microwave
  • Mug (8 oz or bigger)

Instructions:

  1. Put flour, milk, oil, brown sugar, and vanilla mixing bowl.
  2. Add 1 tbsp. of the chocolate chips.
  3. Mix everything together.
  4. Transfer the dough into a mug.
  5. Add another tbsp. of chocolate chips to the top.
  6. Microwave the cake for a minute.
  7. Enjoy!
