Resorts World Las Vegas

Resorts World Las Vegas

Hi everyone, welcome to article three of my Exploring Vegas series! Today we will go exploring Resorts World Las Vegas Hotel and this time I went with two of my friends, Christen and Emma. They are both hospitality majors so I was excited to explore with people who have the same perspective as me. Christen also has her own blog, and you can find it here

Resort World is an Asian themed mega-mega resort-casino on the Las Vegas Strip, diagonally across from the Wynn – Encore Resort.

Resorts World DÉCOR

There were a few pieces of décor at Resorts World Las Vegas  that stood out to me. First there was a gigantic globe in the middle of the mall that projects images. Also, the bathrooms have a ton of disco lights. Here’s a picture of the disco lights in the bathroom:

We also discovered an Instagram-ready backdrop in front of one of the restaurants. There was a decorative awning covered with pink flowers outside FUHU. Pink is my favorite color so I loved this.

Lunch At Famous Foods Street Eats

Famous Foods Street Eats is an Asian cuisine food court in Resorts World Las Vegas. I have been there a few times and it provides a cost-effective way to try out a few different Asian cuisines in one spot. It has become one of my spots to grab something different on a budget, on the Las Vegas Strip. There is a big variety to choose from. Here are some of the places my friends and I sampled:

Streetbird Las Vegas

Christen and I shared some sweet potato fries from Streetbird Las Vegas. That is not exactly Asian, but they still were great! These were not your typical soggy sweet potato fries. They mastered the art of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, which seems to elude many who offer this healthy alternative to regular fries. Also the portion size was huge, making it particularly appropriate for sharing with a group of friends. All in all Streetbird managed to make some of the best sweet potato fries you will find in Las Vegas.

Nori Bar

Nori bar is a sushi bar situated in the middle of the Famous Foods area. If you know me, you know that I love sushi, so I did not miss out on giving them a try. I decided to order something that is not very exotic, so I could compare it to the many other plaices I’ve sampled sushi before. So, I ordered a salmon roll. Was it any good? Drum roll … It was amazing. The fish salmon was super fresh and the rice had a lot of flavor. Overall one of the best rolls you can find in their price range.

Sweet Eats

Sweet Eats is the dessert bar in the middle of the Famous Foods Street Eats area. It’s not a secret any longer that I always come here when I visit Famous Foods. This time I ordered a Mango Sticky Rice. At first I was not a big fan of it because having rice in a dessert is so unusual. But in Asian cuisines, sweet rice desserts are common, so why not give it a try? And believe it or not, it can really grow on you. I loved this one, especially since I love mango flavored desserts.

All in all, we had great fun exploring Resorts World Las Vegas for a fun and tasty excursion on the Las Vegas Strip. It is a fun place to go whether you’re local, or visiting Las Vegas for vacation.
