Wicked: For Good Movie Review

Wicked: For Good Movie Review

I recently saw Wicked: For Good for the second time. As someone who has been a huge Wicked fan my whole life, I was incredibly excited for this movie. You can see my review of the first Wicked movie here and my reaction to Wicked being split into two parts here.

Outfit

I like to dress up inspired by characters when I see musicals or movie musicals. For part one of the Wicked, I wore a gorgeous Glinda outfit with a pink dress. For part two, I wore an Elphaba outfit with a black lace dress and a witch’s hat. I liked it a lot. Many other people were also dressed up, making the experience even more fun.

Theater

I went to the AMC Dine-In for Wicked. They had reclining seats and a touch-screen ordering system outside the theater so you could order food to be delivered to your seat. I liked the way that they did the ordering because you do not disturb everyone else when you are ordering during the movie.

Food

I got Mozzarella Sticks with a side of garlic sauce. They were really crispy and flavorful. The perfect movie snack.

Wicked Sodas

There were 6 sodas that were created for AMC that were inspired by the wicked movie. Here are the flavors:

Glinda’s Goodness: A sweet, sparkling mix of strawberry, grape, and classic Sprite that’s as bright and bubbly as the Good Witch herself.

Wicked Witch: A bold, tangy blend of lime and grape Fanta with a mischievous and daringly delicious twist.

Flying Fizz: Barq’s root beer meets ginger ale in this magically smooth, creamy combo that soars above the ordinary.

Magical Bubble: A fizzy burst of grape-kissed Sprite that shimmers with simple, spellbinding sweetness.

Yellow Brick Brew: Follow the flavor! A sunny, tropical fusion of pineapple, peach, and lemon-lime Sprite that leads straight to refreshment.

Rainbow Sparkle: A dazzling mix of peach, strawberry, cherry, and orange Fanta – a fruit-filled celebration worthy of the Emerald City.

I got to try all of them. One of my favorites was rainbow sparkle.

Cast and Performances

I think that everyone was super good. My favorite was Johnathan Bailey. I loved his voice and costume. I also love his moments with Elphaba. His performance really stood out to me.

Best Moment

I have a few moments I really enjoyed. Probably my favorite part was how the last scene of the movie recreated the photo from the playbill. I appreciated how they added in that small detail from the show to the movie. It made me cry both times since I am a huge fan of the original show. I also loved “As Long as You Mine”.

Soundtrack

I love all the songs in the movie. The music does a great job of conveying emotion and moving the story forward.

Final Thoughts

I loved the movie a lot. I liked it more than part one. I love the emotion and storytelling. It was the perfect conclusion to the Wicked story.
