Hi everyone, for this entry in my “Exploring Las Vegas” series, I went over to one of the iconic Las Vegas theme hotels – New York – New York Hotel & Casino. for this visit, who would be better to go there than Ben, my friend from New York – the real New York! Now you might think that as a New Yorker he’d been to this resort already. But now, this was his first time.
So let’s take a look at what we found.

New York- New York Las Vegas Hotel & Casino DÉCOR
The theme of The New York resort is … drum roll … New York, of course. Indeed, the outside architecture is designed to look like the congested and soaring city skyline of Manhattan, in New York City.
Adding to the New York feel are replicas of iconic sites, like:
- A 1/3 size replica of the Statue of Liberty
- The Brooklyn Bridge.
- Empire State Building
- Chrysler Building.
The them continues inside the resort, where there is a large area with the feel of a New York street scene, with restaurants, steam grates and cobblestones. If you suspend your skepticism, you can feel like you are walking around the streets of New York.
Dinner Chin Chin in New York -New York Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
Chin Chin is an Asian Fusion restaurant. Ben and I both enjoy Asian cuisine, and sushi, so we were excited to try out this place. The menu is part sushi and part Asian fusion dishes..
Salmon Handroll
Ben decided to order a salmon handroll. Was it any good? Yes, he said it was great – fresh and flavorful. In fact, it is impressive that Ben was impressed, since he’s a sushi aficionado. He’s ready to go back again. Good work Chin Chin!
Tangerine Beef
I ordered the tangerine beef and have to say this was a hit as well. You could even say it was amazing. The flavor was a perfect mix of sweet and sour. In addition, it had a bed of crunchy noodles, which was a nice twist, adding a whole new layer of texture. In addition, it was not overly spicy. Since I am not crazy about excessive spice, that was a plus. I suppose if you like your heat, they can turn it up for you as well.
Overall, the New York – New York Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and Chin Chin were a lot of fun. They get a high recommendation from me!
